In response to customer demand, US-based digital and flexo press manufacturer Mark Andy has established a new direct sales office in Bangkok, Thailand. This office will soon be manned by sales, technical and administrative support staff, headed by Sales Director Asia Pacific Shaun Pullen, with a Sales and Applications Support team led by Chris Irving.

Pullen has been managing the region for Mark Andy for a little over a year, operating independently and liaising with the corporate team and network of distributors in the area. Irving is a recent hire, with 10 years’ experience in the narrow web market and keen insight into printing, converting and specialty applications.

The team will support the strong network of distributors across Asia including southeast Asia, the Indian sub-continent, northeast Asia, Japan, China and Australia/New Zealand.  Speaking for Mark Andy, Vice President of International Sales Mike Russell comments: “We have made the move because of positive growth in the region, and in response to our growing customer base that requires a more localized support infrastructure.”

The new base in Thailand provides a central location and direct contact to promote the Mark Andy and Rotoflex brands to this unique and growing territory. Pullen says, “I am looking forward to building even stronger relationships with our customers and local distributors in the region, which will allow Mark Andy to grow its market share and further develop the region. With our vast total solutions offering including flexo printing, digital hybrid printing, offline converting, pre-press support, and post-installation solutions such as training and retrofits, Mark Andy is confident we can support the wide range of converter needs in this growing market.”
